LONG-FORM CRITIQUES
Long-form critiques are any analysis video that take over 15-minutes of time. They also don’t come with review scores. The point of a long critique is to examine all parts of a game thoroughly, rather than grade those aspects. Reviews are a game’s entertainment value; a critique is a game’s artistic value.
IMPRESSIONS
Impressions videos are lightly scripted, and often un-edited, takes on games that I want to talk about, but maybe don’t have the time to fully commit to. Things happen, and I can only work on 1 or 2 reviews at a time. Impressions tend to be gut reactions to the first 1-2 hours of a game rather than seeing the game to completion.
